The best golf resorts in the Indian Ocean

The Holiday Factory, together with Heritage Resorts and Mauritius Tourism, is proud to be a sponsor of Pierre Pellegrin. A real rising golf star, Pierre recently won the MCB Indian Ocean Open, qualifying for the AfrAsia Mauritius Open taking place in December 2022. We can’t wait to see how he does on the course.

But until then, he’s inspired us to travel all places green! If a golf holiday sounds like your cup of tee then be sure to check the below list of our favourite golf resorts in the Indian Ocean.

The Sea Cliff Resort and Spa is home to the only golf course on Zanzibar. The 9-hole Matkovitch designed course features a club house, under-cover driving range and chipping, bunker and putting practice areas. Zanzibar’s sandy beaches provide the 7th hole’s unique fairway bunker and the signature 9th hole is complimented by its exotic backdrop of the sea. The course has been designed with variation in distance and direction on the front and back 9 to create an experience of playing a full 18 holes. The course has a par 71, which includes short and long par 4s and a couple of drivable options. After a round, you can enjoy the sunset from the Clubhouse’s Veranda, situated on a private beach where you can soak in the views of the ocean. Hotel guests get preferential rates and tee off times and can hire golf carts and clubs.
